We're Engaged!!!!

Tony proposed to me (Loni) on October 10, 2009 and the story goes like this:

I was visiting my friend Nicole and her family in New York City!  I took the red eye flight out on Friday October 9, 2009.  Tony had decided to not go with me because he would only be able to stay for the weekend.... but little did I know, he flew out just after me on Jet Blue, while I was on Delta.  So, Saturday afternoon Nicole and I went to the Empire State building,

It took us awhile to get to the top... we were stuck on the elevator.. (I'll post those pics later) So, we were just listening to the audio tour of the Empire State building, then we turned around to take a picture and this guy came and asked if he could take the picture for us.  I looked at him and thought wow, he really looks like Tony... 

Then I saw his brother out of the corner of my eye, and I was like wow.. it is Tony....  (I was so confused and not sure how he got there, or why he was there.. or how he knew I was there)...

Then he got down on a knee and proposed to me!!  I was in total shock, you can tell in the pictures........

Unanswered Prayers!

Well, I've decided to start a blog, I figure I can type faster than I can write things down.  So, I have definitely dated some real winners from cheaters, to cousin lovers, to manipulators, uhm ya you basically name it and I've dealt with it.  However, I just want to say that good things happen to those who wait!!! Yes, I've had some close calls, but I just want to thank God for unanswered prayers........ and here is why.....

So on May 17, 2009, I met the most amazing person in the world!  Tony! We were hooked up on a blind date, from a friend I know MaryAnne and her daughter, (Missy) and her daughters soon to be husband (Spencer) their wedding is tomorrow.  Tony used to be roommates with Spencer when he lived in Atlanta, and I am friends with MaryAnne.  It was funny because MaryAnne called me and left me a message saying that she had someone that she wanted to hook me up with, and that if I didn't call her back she would know that I was avoiding her...... So I called her back on my way to work one night, and told her sure, I'll meet him!  Later that night Spencer sent him a text message with my phone number and told him to call me now!  Well, they forgot to tell him that I was at work..... So he called... But.. I didn't answer.. (I think he was confused)  However, I called him back when I was picking up Cafe Rio for the unit and we talked for awhile.. Then, we texted for a few days, and on the 17th, we met!  Tony and his friend Carter came and picked me up, and we chilled at his house all day watching the games.... we also took his friend Aaron to the airport... then chilled some more.. and some more.. and talked a lot.. 

And.... We have basically been inseparable ever since then!  I don't think we have gone a day without seeing each other! 

 This is Us!!!!! He is so amazing! He makes me soooo happy!  

I seriously did not think a guy like him existed!  I've had the list of a perfect guy/the guy I deserve wrote up for awhile... but until I met Tony, I was really doubting ever finding that guy!  However, Tony is perfect!  He is a dream come true!  I am so thankful that he is in my life!  I am so blessed and so lucky to have him!  He treats me so nice, he is so thoughtful and caring and he makes me want to be a better person!  I honestly do not know what I saw in anyone else, now that I have met Tony and been treated the way that he treats me! I have never been so happy!
